Dustin Keegan

Biography

Dustin Keegan began playing disc golf in 2007. After a brief amateur career, he moved into the pro ranks and in 2013 got his first sanctioned pro win at the Aloha Sushi Classic. In 2014, he finished 25th at the World Championships and then later in the year 9th at the USDGC. He soon entered into his first sponsored relationship with Innova Champion Discs. In 2018, Keegan left Innova to join the Dynamic Discs team. It was a good 2 years with DD but starting in 2020, Keegan landed his dream sponsorship and is now proudly representing Discmania Discs and DiscGolfPark. Since becoming a professional, he has played in 188 events, earned $60,194 in prize money and is currently rated 1015.

In 2013, Keegan began teaching clinics and offering other educational programming with Zoe AnDyke and has become deeply immersed in the educational aspects of disc golf. He has taught in 26 schools around the United States and Eastern Canada. In partnership with AnDyke he has organized putting leagues, women’s leagues, fundraiser events, kid’s camps, afterschool programs, and community events. He has helped direct over 30 sanctioned and non-sanctioned disc golf events.  Since 2017, he has dedicated himself to the growth of the non-profit, Universal Play Disc Golf. UPlayDG’s mission is to promote the health, well-being, and enhancement of children and communities through the provision of disc golf educational programs. Currently Keegan is serving as the Board President for UPlayDG.

Keegan has a true passion for disc golf course design which builds perfectly on his uncommon abilities in design and geometry and his eye for wringing every bit of disc golf excitement out of an otherwise raw bit of the outdoors. Over the last 6 years he has helped design temporary courses for tournaments throughout Oregon and the last two years has co-designed (with AnDyke) and installed 2 permanent courses on school campuses in Oregon.

Education: Graduated with a trade degree in Energy Management from Lane Community College in Eugene, OR

Goal: To bring disc golf to parts of the world that have never seen it before and to ultimately build a top 10 championship level course.
